how we roll :: our life according to facebook

So clearly I can't keep up anymore.

For years I have prided {I detest that word really} myself in being so together and with it and caught up.

Let me just remove all doubt.

Those days are over.

O.V.E.R.

Like His Word says, "pride goes before the fall..."

I have four babies in my nest. And they are all, on some level, serving to suck every ounce of energy out of my aging self.

Well, they have some help in that. My new business venture, which I will someday get around to posting about, has kept me hopping. In a good way!

Sufficed to say, mama needs to get some stuff down. So, I give you our life according to Facebook...since that seems to be the only media outlet I am on top of!

*The formatting is all screwy since I'm just copy and pasting from FB*

Headed for an evening swim...Gabe is the official towel holder evidently.

I am at the hospital with Gabe for several hours today ( X-rays, blood draws, Pre anesthesia, etc). Jason texts me to say that he is home feeding the other three kids a healthy and nutritious lunch. I wasn't buying it and asked for proof. This is the proof he sent. Go figure!

Bad quality, unsuspecting iPhone picture...my man is enjoying his fave TV (Motocross) but the little prince brings him a book to read instead. Gotta love a daddy who turns off the TV to read to his 2 year old. Swoon. He's a keeper for sure.

So there you have it. Our life, or much of it, according to FB. :) Happy Summer, y'all.

this is how we roll :: in the water

So summertime means one thing to our kids...swimming.

Well, it also means sleeping a little later, an hour of reading each weekday and no TV until 3pm.

But if you asked them what their favorite summertime activity is...they would lament about how they beg me every single day to go to the pool and they promise to be good and not splash the neighbors and to not whine when I say it's time to go. And really, they hold up their end of the bargain pretty well. But none of that is really surprising. What is surprising, is this.

The little prince, he's a fish.

Yes, this boy who in May, after 8 months home, still sobbed and screamed and wailed every time he had his hair washed...is indeed a fish. And it's changed his outlooks on bath time too. As he's now decided that our tub is just a really small swimming pool. Gotta love it.

He floats, he peddles, he swishes.

He jumps, he laughs, he gulps. Yeah, we're still learning to keep our mouth closed but getting better every day.

I mean, look at this baby. Is he a dreamsickle  waiting to be devoured? I think so.

The rest of the kiddies can't get enough of him at the pool. He's pretty tolerant of them too. Here, he's laughing though it looks like he may be upset. Rest assured, he's rarely upset at the pool! :)

And the Tornado? He's handsome big brother fish. Still a great swimmer doing his thing. And he loves it!

See what I mean? Totally in love...

She's a nut. Always has been. We suspect she always will be!

In true Thai Tornado fashion...

She can't get enough of him either...

This cracks me up. When Gabe gets tired, he just lays down. So flippin' funny.

How did we get here? FOUR sweet, albeit wet and giggly, babies to fill our nest.

Swoon. What a prince.

It's always a good time when daddy can join us!

My loves.

Be still my heart.

Look at that face. Can't get enough of him.

Y'all know I'm just nuts over the top of his head. :)

I apologize for slowing down your wifi whilst loading a million pictures. It could not be helped. This is how we roll during summer...in the water!
