I am a mama to five children. Two beautiful daughters who were homegrown, one amazing Thai Tornado who came to us from Bangkok in 2009, a precious little prince from Henan, China who joined our family in 2012 and one beloved son in Heaven. I married the love of my life in 1996. He is a staff pastor and I'm a homeschooling mama whose alter ego is a part time photographer.
I began writing here in July of 2008. I've never had much follow through keeping a diary, either as a child or an adult. But when we began the process of adopting our son, Joel from Thailand, it was like I just couldn't make myself stop. There were so many emotions buried deep that I needed to deal with and putting them down here on paper, as it were, was so cathartic for me. There were stories of God's grace that I wanted to pass down to my children and anecdotes of our everyday life that I didn't want to forget.
So I write and I snap and I post.
