We also enjoyed some good 'ol sparklers in true 4th of July tradition! It was a fun day for the girls but we were still mindful that some little person is missing. Jason's dad felt compelled to lead us in a time of prayer in Joel's room before they left this afternoon. It was a tearful time but joyful at the same time because we know that our God has not dropped this ball. He is not late. His timing is perfect. And we trust Him. Even still, we sure miss our handsome Thai guy!
I found a few pics from our first 4th being in our home. These are from 2004 and they are scanned so the quality isn't very good. But, oh my. Our girls are so big. Kennedy even looks a little chubby in these! How fun! She's such a rail now! And Syd had such a baby face. How sweet to remember.

God is good and we are so thankful for His provision and grace to live in such a country. Today at lunch, we prayed for our leaders and our nation. It was good to remember those who are fighting for our freedoms and to celebrate blessings we share. God bless America.

The girls had fun with their sparklers...twice! The lit a few this afternoon with Nana and Dandaddy and then we blew through the rest of them tonight around 8:30 before they went to bed. We noticed tonight that the sparklers were made in Thailand! So sweet, even the littlest things help to keep perspective. Here are some pics from our day.

Love the new summer do! I've got to start looking at packaging more carefully. I had no idea so much was made in Thailand.
Kam, I just love your family so much!! What a beautiful testimony to God, everything you do gives glory to Him! Right where it should be!! Your faithfulness is an inspiration. Keep believing, Girlfriend! I have proof here that it does happen. And as hard as it is, God's timing IS perfect!
