How fun is this~

So I've got the best friends in the world. Last weekend, Tara told me that I needed to go register for gifts because a uber sweet lady at church was hoping to give us a shower for Joel! Can you dig it? I mean, it's been 9 1/2 years since I've had a shower! And really, it's not a necessity for us now...but it sure helps!

So today, my mom came up {my parents live about 50 miles away...} and we headed to T@rget to pick stuff for our baby registry. We had a blast! I splurged and treated myself to a St@rbucks Vanilla Bean Frappuccino! Oh, my. It was delish! Truthfully, we don't need much for Joel. His room is totally ready and waiting for our little Thai guy to come home. A few friends have passed down some reeeeaaaalllly nice clothes for him in both 2T and 3T! But this afore mentioned, uber sweet friend from church was insistent that I register for a "ton of stuff"! And so, we grabbed ourselves a little scanner thingy and had a right fun time! 48 items...does that equal a "ton of stuff"? I'm not sure! But it's more than enough!

Mom saw the sign that said infant and toddler boys and said, "Kam, go stand by that sign!"...she's such a nut! Then she snapped one of me scanning some boxer briefs! lol! How funny is that? 3T boxer briefs! My boy is going to be stinkin' cute in those things! Here are a few pics that my mom swiped and a few of the things we picked!

So these were some of my faves...

The Graco Nautilus is a 3-in-1 car seat. It has a 5 point harness for smaller children, then converts to a booster if you take the harness out. It can also be a backless booster when Joel gets a little older. The car seat law in GA says that they must be in a 5 point seat until 4 years old or 40 pounds. So we'll have a year or so in it this way then convert to the booster. It got excellent ratings {I checked several websites} and we always loved our girls' Graco seats. It also reclines...which is a huge selling point for me!

The Mighty Tite is a must have if your child is in a car seat. We used these for years with K and S. They ensure that your seat is as tight as possible and they are super easy to use. Amazing how tight this joker makes the seat. If you've ever done battle with a traditional locking clip that comes with your seat...you know what I'm talking about! The LATCH system is great and most all cars have it now. But it doesn't make a hill of beans difference if your seat can move more than an inch side to side in either direction. The Mighty Tite is worth every penny.

The Little Einstein laptop for 3-6 year olds is so cute. I must admit, I'm daydreaming of Joel sitting in my lap playing ABC games with me! The girls both had something similar to this and they loved them...Syd still does!

The monkey travel pillow is self explanatory...too cute! And will come in so handy on the flight back home! Well, here's hoping we experience some sleep on the plane!

I registered for the pg's because I just think they're so darn cute! And, they have a monkey on them. Joel's nickname at the orphanage was given for tv character that's a monkey...and we sent him the stuffed monkey from Build A Be@r last Fall. He wasn't nuts about it. Think it scared him! Hopefully he will like it better someday!

So all in all, such a fun trek to T@rget with my mom! Can't believe we are this close! Oh happy day!

That looks like such fun! So funny - I love my boys chilling in their boxers. I wonder when that will get old... 12, 15, 18?

How neat you are having a shower!
Now I must say I'm a bit jealous, we only have a Target, no Super. :o)

You are going to have so much fun shopping for your little cutie, I still love shopping for Dalton. It never gets old, only better!
