Prophetess

So I've been talking through our adoption story as of late and thought that I'd take a break from it and fill you in on something you may not already know.

Sydney is a prophetess.

Now all of you who know me know that I'm joking. Kind of. I mean, she's only almost 9 years old. She can't really be a prophetess now can she? Of course, Josiah became king at 8 and he rocked it out! But seriously, I'm only joking. I just love that she is so firm in her convictions!

Syd has always had a way of just telling it like it is. She's our firecracker and her opinions are never in short order! But honestly, it's part of her charm. Just a few nights ago, I was up at my Mac doing some editing {because the Lord is sending sessions right and left to me so our baby boy can come home!} and I hear Sydney teaching in her playroom classroom.

It went just like this. {I know because I was writing it all done as fast as she could say it!}

"Remember class, our God is the Most High God!"

Pause for imaginary responses.

"Is there ANY god higher than our God?"

Pause again.

"Well, NO! No god is higher!"

Again with the pausing.

"Let me ask you this :: Is there even ANOTHER god!?!"

You guessed it...pause.

"Like Buddha. Who's he?"

Long pause.

"He's made by men, that's who he is! People just made him up as a god."

More, um, pausing.

"What's the deal with that anyway?"

Pppp..ause.

"The deal is...THEY'RE CRAZY!!"

I don't know about you, but I think she is just about the cutest prophetess ever.
