Stinker.
I told him emphatically, "NO!"
But he would have none of it and he went and graduated anyway.
Hmmph.
I have to say, it was precious. They had an American theme going for this year's commencement. And so the big song for the graduates was "God Bless the USA". OMGoodness. Hearing {And seeing! There were motions!} the Thai Tornado sing the chorus,
"And I'm proud to be an American where at least I know I'm free..." was just about too much to take in. This gorgeous boy who came to us from Thailand is now standing with his friends singing about being an American. I know I'm a big cheesy dork but come on! That's just too much. We did video it. Gonna try to upload some of it here. :)

What a sweet day it was and how great it feels...we're almost finished with school! Summer is coming and we are pretty darn stoked about that around here!

Way to go, little man! Now, Mom...just forward that cap & gown about 14 years and he might be picking you up for photos!
I love a song with motions! Happy, happy graduation day. Congrats to your little grad.
PS - Love your long hair. I liked it when it was short but it's super chic long.
What a handsome boy! He's gonna be a heartbreaker one day!!!
I had a similar moment... to the one where you were hearing him sing his song... the first year Jacob was home with us, he was sitting on stage at his preschool program (all the other kids were standing around him, but he couldn't stand unassisted, and couldn't have a walker on stage). He was singing "Jesus Mesiah", singing his heart out, so much emotion on his face, probably really didn't have a clue WHAT he was singing, but it brought me to tears. So sweet :) I remember being so very thankful to have him home!
