response

So I told you all about how the Lord gave me super sleuth skills last week and I was able to post to the online forum thingy and hear from the nurse who cared for Gabe...

And you know that I couldn't just let that go with a quaint little "thank you" and be done, right?

Nope, I couldn't.

So I responded and {yes, thanked her profusely!} and asked her a few things about our little prince.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear back from her on Tuesday morning! Of course the translating capabilities of Chrome, whilst still so cool, are definitely lacking in some areas. I would love to know exactly what some of this means. But the gist is there and I'm so grateful for these new details.

Thank God Zhou Xun {"Gabe"} has arranged such a good family!
Zhou Xun's name is a loving mother to shake the Nets made; a scholar's name: Su Xun in China; take the word "truly"; presumably loving mother to Zhou Xun his talent! Zhou Xun to reach us. Welfare Institute president called and said; a premature child, the abandoned, the police sent to the orphanage; hope that we picked up to take care of; (put the baby warm box li) Zhou Xun alive;

Later, we find a family foster care he with him in foster care along with Zhou Xinwei; this family very deeply in love with two children; family poverty, the family to give more families of two children care; family of Mom and Dad are 45-year-old man, (the daughter of the two men died in a car accident; in daughter's death six months, the families into endless grief, one day, a baby girl abandoned in this house door; rainy day; about the baby girl is only six months old, the family picked up the children after the children go to the hospital to check to know; children with congenital heart disease; tetralogy of Fallot, but the family did not give up. parenting so far has been, a child this year the fifth grade, excellent learning; heart disease treatment, we help to apply for Foundation children surgery; very grateful!) the family, the daughter of two unrelated; there parents received psychological trauma; Zhou Xun and Zhou Xinwei arrival to the family brought a lot of joy and memories ... the two sisters are very much in love Zhou Xun Zhou Xun, smart and lovely;

blessings Zhou Xun, thank you! Love you! Zhou Xun look forward to a speedy return home!

I soaked this in over and over. Reading word after word. Trying to discern what she meant by some of it since the translation was sketchy in parts. I responded again but haven't heard back. I don't want to trouble her. I told her that. But I'm hoping that Gabe is still close by. I have heard that sometimes this lady accompanies the children to the civil affairs office where we will receive him. I would love to be able to hug her and show her our thanks. I will never forget having that opportunity with Joel's caregiver and would love to have it with Gabe's too.

Our care package for him should have made it there by now. It's been 10 days. It takes 6 the way I mailed it. So with the weekend, we should be good in expecting it to have been delivered to the SWI {Social Welfare Institute/orphanage} by now. We are hoping that the director there will take it to Gabe. It may be a long shot but we have heard from other families that they will do this for the children. We have also requested an official update. Recent pictures and measurements would be so wonderful. And seeing him with the things we sent him would be incredible. Sometimes this happens, other times, not. But we are hopeful!

Our 2nd part of immigration may be approved this week. Others are seeing them come in at 14 days. That would be Tuesday for us. I have contacted our officer at Homel@nd Security and asked that she send us notice via email that our case has approval since we will be out of town all week with our students at Mission Camp. Once that approval happens, we can move on to the next few steps...we are down to less than five total before we can step onto that plane. Seems crazy that we are this close. Still, just about 2.5 months to go until they hand me the little prince to have forever. To God be the glory!
