So it's been a better few days. Despite there being no new updates about our LOA and the let down that Mary wasn't able to visit with the nurse from Gabe's former foster facility...still, I'm feeling better. I am hopeful and expectant that our LOA may not take the full 100+ days that others have experienced. It may not be in the next week or two but we're at day 64 and that feels good. The longest wait is behind us. Yay for that. Father's Day is this weekend and I'm looking forward to some time with Jase and my babies.
I'm still trying to be more intentional about gratitude. I think it may take me several years to get to 1000! But these are some everyday kind of things that have struck me lately that I'm really thankful for.
41. cool rain on a June morning
42. a phone call from my little brother to ask advice about making dinner
43. hearing Joel talk about Gabe
44. the sound of Kennedy playing piano and singing to the top of her lungs
45. fathers in law who double as carpenters
46. news of movement in our adoption process
47. the generosity of others who give to us and don't know us
48. mailbox full of new books about China and Jesus
49. suffering loved ones who represent Christ well
50. my dad who called just to make me laugh
51. when Joel says "Bwess you" to someone in our home who sneezes {today, it was Kennedy}
52. coffee after dinner
53. pain medicine for a toothache
54. when Kennedy makes lunch so I don't have to
55. printed pictures of Gabe
56. Jase who takes such good care of me
57. while reading about all China's daughters have endured in the past, i realize how blessed I am to have been born here.
58. the girls both completing their summer reading requirements early
59. and then begging to go to the library for more books to read
60. having Jase home every Friday with our family

I read this book too but never started a list. Impressed you're keeping one. I sure hope your tooth is better!
Speaking of books, I recently read: Bloom and Women,Food and God. Both interesting in their own way.
