So hello my babies. Hello blogosphere. Hello whomever you fine people may be. I'm behind. So, so behind! And on the third of this month, yes, TEN long days ago, we snagged these images and celebrated this meeting...

Sigh.

A year.

365 days since this gorgeous Little Prince became ours.

Gorgeous? You might ask...

That is pure, unadulterated gorgeousness!

And on this day, one year ago, they just handed him over to me.

For forever.

And I whispered "I love you" in his ear a hundred times through tears.

He was timid and scared and quiet and BRAVE. So, so brave.

Today?

Today he's none of those things.

He doesn't have to be.

There is no need for him to be afraid. No bravery required.

He can just be.

Be who God intended him to be...

...brother and a SON and a grandson and a nephew and a friend.

Safe and secure running around the backyard with his siblings and a camera wielding mama who utterly and completely adores him.

This is his "I know we're celebrating my Gotcha Day and all mom, but I'm really over all of this picture taking," face...
