I know, I know. That sound so haughty.
But I'm telling ya. I'm that good.
This past weekend, I had two photography sessions. One that will help bring Gabe home, and one that was a complimentary session for an adopting family. :)
I needed to finish editing the first one. I was about halfway through with it on Saturday night after the second one was over. I came up to my Mac and sat down. And I just wasn't feeling it. So rather than rush through an edit, I decided to check the blog/forum thingy where I found all of the info and pictures of Gabe back in April.
No news.
But none was expected since, heller, he doesn't live there anymore.
Still, I sat there staring at the screen thinking,
"There has to be a way. I can do this. I can figure this out."
A few weeks ago, we had asked our missionary friend, M, to try and get a message to the nurse who took care of Gabe all those months. We were hopeful that maybe she could give us some new info about where he is so we could send a package directly to him. No luck. M suggested that I post to the forum instead since we knew that the nurse reads it and posts often to it herself...she may see it if I did.
But chrome only translates the main body of the forum...not the periphery. So there's a million things along the edges, top and bottom that I have no earthly idea what it is saying. Well, I just started copying and pasting into translate and bam! I found a login section. So I made myself a username.
Yes I did.
Wanna know who I am?
Little prince's mama.
That's who I am!
And from there, tediously copying and pasting, I figured out how to post. It was a real doozy...something like, "Can you please tell me how Zhou Xun is doing? We are his family and we would love to know if he is doing well."
Sunday morning comes and I have not slept too well the night before. But I'm up, and I've got my hot tea, and I meander upstairs on the off chance that there is a message for me, aka little prince's mama.
And what do ya know? A response...
The photo of the baby;
with us before April, the period of time is still a family foster care over time; in
late April, the baby went to the orphans of the welfare institutions arrangements foster village
orphans, foster families of the village;
I can Contact your orphanage
You can tell, the translation is a little hard. But sufficed to say, my suspicions from previous posts were right on...he left there in April to go to the foster village to a family. I love that she said she would contact the orphanage for us...I guess that means she will try to get new info.
And then there were pictures that we have never seen. They were taken at the same time as some others we have...but some we didn't have too.
LOVE.
My goodness. Getting these and the news of our LOA last week is just enough to put me over the edge! Whew. I can't wait to get our boy. Can. Not. Wait.
How adorable is this little prince? This shot is my favorite. I can't decide if he looks sleepy because he just woke up or because he's just...well, sleepy. I think he may have just woken up since his hair is a little messy. lol. Love love this shot. He rocks pink like no other. :)

My mom, Jase and I were all blown away at how great he looks standing up. Sweet Gabe in that red jacket. I'm not sure if he is walking stable here or if he is using the walkers to help him balance. But goodness. We just loved seeing him stand up. Sweet boy. I can hardly stand it.
I may be completely useless for the next 10 weeks. If you need me, I'll just be staring at these new pictures. :)
